30 Days of Twilight: Day 25 - Most Maddening Moment

30 Days of Twilight: Day 25 - Most Maddening Moment

What moment made you the most frustrated or mad in the books or movies?

For me I will definitely say when Bella kissed Jacob in Eclipse and Bella's overall clinginess  to Jacob. When she kissed him in Eclipse I died. I hated reading it. Poor Edward! I was like "Bella you tramp! You are engaged, let it go!" I mean who goes around carrying on like that after they are engaged? I know she had her reasons...whatever, she was trying to keep him alive... blah...blah but I wasn't happy about it.

Same here, Kim.  The whole love triangle drove me nuts.  I was so darn relieved when he imprinted on Renesmee.  LOL.

I won't repeat my earier post, though I despised the awful cliched fight scene in Breaking Dawn 2, especially how it cheapened the rich charatcers Stephenie created, to fit cliched Hollywood black & white molds of good & evil when the characters were so much richer and more complex than that.  If there had been a big fight, it would have been started by eitehr Caius or the Romanians (Caius did attempt to get the fight strated in the book - but the other charatcers were smarter than that - including Aro!!)  I especially hated how they protrated Carlisle (no way would he be that stupid) and how bad and awful they made Aro.  He was not that crazy or evil in the book.  That said, I still adore the actors.  Though that awful scene totally destroyed Twilight for me. I get sick and cry every time I think about it and am still struggling to get over it.  I wish  I had the money to remake that scene (but then it should never have been ruined in the first place)

I have to agree with Kim as well. When Bella kissed Jacob I wanted to throw my book and scream at the tv.

Okay, the books don't really bother me. I get what goes on and why. The one thing that really drives me insane, and I have previously said this, comes from the eclipse movie. The proposal scene. I didn't care what they did to eclipse, but the one thing I though would be book perfect wasn't. And that is the proposal line. It's PERFECT in the book. That botched up job to the line in the movie, OME. It drives me CRAZY! I HATE the line in the movie. I can't even tell you what the movie line is, just that it's NOT the same as the book. I REFUSE to watch that scene. I fast forward through it or just mute that scene or stick my fingers in my ears and hum or scream over the scene. The ONLY time that scene plays in my house, is when I've put the movie on and fallen asleep.

Hi guys! I'm loving this series of posts so so much!
I definitely agree with Kim, that whole triangle drove me nuts, I could see him as a very good friend, but Bella unconsciously being "in love" with him also, I just couldn't buy it!

Kim is totally right. I hated that she couldn't just move on and leave Jacob alone. I get it, they were like joined at the hip for three months, and he basically saved her life, because let's face it, what comes after cliff jumping? Charlie sure has a lot of weapons. But come on, she put Edward through the pain of fightig with her about Jacob. He was probably betting on her leaving him so she could be with her 'best friend'. Then, when she assures him that there's nothing going on, he does the logical thing anyone would have done a hundred years ago, in his time, and proposed. All he was trying to do was tell her how much he really loved her, and she threw it back in his face. Not to mention the fact that the day after they got engaged, she kissed Jacob behind Edward's back even though she probably knew that Edward would be listening. All I can say is that she needed to make up her mind. I mean, really? When did the whole 'I love Jacob' thing come about anyway? When she was punching his face? Or did her love for him grow each time he called the love of her life a bloodaucking leech?
